About CRCA

CRCA is a local trade association of roofing and waterproofing contractors in the greater Chicagoland area. Contractors, manufacturers, distributors, manufacturers representatives, consultants and others are members of CRCA, where they come together to discuss and tackle issues important to the roofing industry.

CRCA serves the greater construction, roofing and waterproofing industries in the Chicagoland Area through volunteer members who donate significant amounts of time to the association. Current activities include:

• Industry Affairs – CRCA worked with the City of Chicago to develop an implementation strategy for roof reflectivity that is attainable by the industry. CRCA is also actively discussing a trade specific license program for roofing and waterproofing contractors to help protect citizens from substandard practices. Additionally, the group is working to communicate industry needs while understanding the City of Chicago and surrounding suburban area desires as well.
  
  
• Safety – CRCA Implemented the Chicagoland Roofing Safety Partnership with OSHA, setting a quantifiable standard for safety.
  
  
• Active – CRCA is active, with several membership meetings throughout the year where industry issues are presented and discussed. And, CRCA’s Trade Show is the Roofing and Waterproofing Industry’s Premier Event in greater Chicagoland. CRCA’s Golf Outing means fun for our industry, while the CRCA Annual Awards Banquet recognizes volunteer yearly and lifetime achievements.
  
  
• Diverse – CRCA has integrated both union and non union roofing and waterproofing contractors into the association in addition to the manufacturers, distributors, manufacturers reps, consultants and others who are part of the association.
  
  
• Bright Future – CRCA’s future is bright as many new programs are underway that will continue to promote the Specialty Roofing and Waterproofing Contractor Concept.

Additionally, many other issues including Health, Welfare and Roofing Contractor, Roofer and Public Safety, Technical Issues such as Roof Reflectivity, New Technologies, Garden Roofing, Legal and other pertinent roofing and waterproofing topics have been and will be addressed by CRCA.
