CRCA Membership Categories
CRCA has three classes of membership available for professional
firms involved in the Roofing, Waterproofing and Dampproofing
Industry:

Regular
Membership
Regular Voting Members are typically Contractor Firms.
CRCA’s requirements for Regular Member Firms include:
- Any individual proprietor, partnership, or corporation
engaged in roofing, slate tile, or composition roofing,
and waterproofing and Dampproofing or shingling. These
firms or branches being located in Chicago, Illinois
or vicinity shall be eligible for regular membership.
- Any applicant applying for membership as a regular
member in this corporation shall have been operating
as an established roofing contracting business for
a minimum of two (2) years, and shall submit evidence
that they are primarily engaged in the roofing, slate
tile or composition roofing, waterproofing and dampproofing
or shingling business and they maintain the high quality
of business operations of the associations’
regular members and have not engaged in business operations
or practices which do not meet acceptable industry
standards as determined by the Board of Directors.
- Those that are presently regular members or employed
in a management, official or sales capacity by a regular
member whether it is a partnership or corporation
and the company dissolves, partnership changes, buy-out,
start up of business, etc.; will be eligible to make
immediate application to become members in CRCA without
having to wait the two year provision.

Associate
Membership
CRCA Associate Members consist of the many Distributors,
Manufacturers, Manufacturers Representatives and Consultants
who participate in the Roofing, Waterproofing and Dampproofing
Industry. CRCA Associate members are individuals, partnerships,
or corporations that furnish materials, supplies, services
or other allied products to the roofing industry. Roofing
contractors cannot be Associate members.
The Associate Members are non-voting members of CRCA,
but fully participate in CRCA Events throughout the
year. CRCA is one of the few Contractor Trade Associations
who has an Associate Member as part of the CRCA Board
of Directors, elected solely by the Associate Membership.
This person does have a vote on the CRCA Board of Directors
as well.
Honorary
Membership
CRCA Honorary Membership shall be determined by a recommendation
of the Membership Committee and Board of Directors for
such honor. The Honorary Membership requires no dues
payment, although the member pays for participation
in CRCA Events.
